SOFORRAbout
A technology company named after an idea.
SOFORR was founded in The Gambia by Sulayman Sanyang, known as CodeDream. It builds products, platforms and systems for people and organisations, wherever the problem is.
Why we exist
Duniyai ka Soforr.
This world is all about helping one another.
Jola-Bulluf
Technology should help people move forward.
Soforr is a Jola-Bulluf word. It carries the idea of helping one another, and it is the idea this company is named after.
Most of what people achieve, they achieve with help. Technology, at its best, is a way of giving that help to more people, in more places, than any one person could reach alone.
- 01Technology connects people.
- 02It removes barriers that should not be there.
- 03It helps organisations operate better.
- 04It creates opportunities.
- 05It lets people accomplish more together than they could alone.
Origin & scope
Founded in The Gambia.
Building globally.
The Gambia is where SOFORR started, and where its philosophy comes from. It is not the limit of what the company builds or who it builds for.
Today the work spans a travel platform originating in The Gambia and an operational system for a farm in Maine. Different industries and environments, held to the same engineering standard.

Sulayman Sanyang built his foundation in computer science and software engineering in The Gambia. Online, he is known as CodeDream.
He started with software: writing it, shipping products and working with international teams on problems across very different domains.
The ambition grew from writing software to building technology products, and the companies that make them. SOFORR is the company he created to pursue it.

Principles
What we hold to.
- 01
Build, don’t just advise.
The best way to understand technology is to build it.
- 02
Own the outcome.
We care about whether the system actually works.
- 03
Global standards, real-world constraints.
Good engineering has to survive reality.
- 04
Products that compound.
What we build should become more valuable over time.
- 05
Help one another.

Direction
Where we’re going.
A technology company whose products and systems are used well beyond the place they were made. We are early on that road, and building one real thing at a time.
Have something worth building?
Tell us about the problem, opportunity or idea. Let’s see what we can build.
