SOFORRTechnology company

We build technology for ideas worth building.

We build products, platforms and systems for people and organisations solving problems that matter.

Founded in The Gambia. Building globally.

01Why we exist

Duniyai ka Soforr.

This world is all about helping one another.

Jola-Bulluf

Technology should help people move forward.

Soforr is a Jola-Bulluf word. It carries the idea of helping one another, and it is the idea this company is named after.

Most of what people achieve, they achieve with help. Technology, at its best, is a way of giving that help to more people, in more places, than any one person could reach alone.

  1. 01Technology connects people.
  2. 02It removes barriers that should not be there.
  3. 03It helps organisations operate better.
  4. 04It creates opportunities.
  5. 05It lets people accomplish more together than they could alone.

03Work

Built wherever the problem is.

From a tourism platform originating in The Gambia to operational technology for a farm in Maine.

Different industries.Different environments. The same engineering discipline.

04Approach

How we build.

One loop, for our own products and for partner work alike. It never really ends: what we observe in production becomes the next thing we understand.

  1. 01

    Understand

The actual problem, the people it affects and the constraints it has to live with. Not just the request.

  2. 02

    Design

The right solution, and the smallest first version that proves it.

  3. 03

    Build

Working software, in short cycles, so progress is visible early and often.

  4. 04

    Deploy

Properly: reproducible, secure and observable from the first release.

  5. 05

    Improve

Observe what really happens in production, then act on it. Continuously.

↺ Improve feeds back into Understand. Then again.

05Engineering

We care about what happens after launch.

Launch is the start. We build systems that survive real use, evolve without being rewritten and scale when they need to.

01Architecture
Clear boundaries and simple designs that stay understandable as a system grows.
C# · .NET · ASP.NET Core
02Data
Careful relational modelling and migrations you can trust with real records.
PostgreSQL · SQL Server
03APIs & integrations
Contracts designed deliberately. Integrations that fail gracefully and recover on their own.
REST APIs · Webhooks · Third-party APIs
04Payments
Money handled with care, across providers and currencies.
Payment integrations
05Automation
Work that should run itself, scheduled and processed reliably in the background.
Background processing
06Delivery
Every change built, checked and shipped the same way, every time.
Git · CI/CD · Docker
07Cloud & security
Reproducible infrastructure, sensible defaults, and personal data treated with respect.
Cloud infrastructure
08Observability
Logs, metrics and alerts, so problems are found before users find them.
09Maintainability
Code that the next engineer, and the next year, can work with.

06Partner work

Alongside our own products, we work with organisations that have important problems worth solving.

  1. Problem
  2. Technology
  3. Outcome

We take on partner work selectively, and treat it the way we treat our own products: we own the problem with you, build it properly and stay for what happens after launch.

What we look for

  • A real problem, not just a feature list
  • People who will own the outcome with us
  • Ambition beyond the first version

SOFORR
Technology company

Sulayman Sanyang built his foundation in computer science and software engineering in The Gambia. Online, he is known as CodeDream.

He started with software: writing it, shipping products and working with international teams on problems across very different domains.

The ambition grew from writing software to building technology products, and the companies that make them. SOFORR is the company he created to pursue it.

A founder from The Gambia, building a technology company with global ambition.

08Principles

What we hold to.

  1. 01

    Build, don’t just advise.

The best way to understand technology is to build it.

  2. 02

    Own the outcome.

We care about whether the system actually works.

  3. 03

    Global standards, real-world constraints.

Good engineering has to survive reality.

  4. 04

    Products that compound.

What we build should become more valuable over time.

  5. 05

    Help one another.
